To inform students of the school precaution rules and help them plan for the college life, JLUSPS held a conference on school precaution on April 16 to introduce and interpret the University’s regulations on academic precaution in order to raise students’ awareness of the importance and urgency of academic progress. The conference gave an analysis of causes of school precaution to help students make plans and finish their study.

To know about students’ learning and internship performance as well as their suggestions for the School’s teaching activities, the Teaching Affairs Office held an undergraduates’ meeting on April 29. The meeting was presided over by Professor Guan Qingxiang, deputy dean in charge of teaching affairs, and attended by monitors and commissaries in charge of studies from all classes of the Pharmacy Department, Clinical Pharmacy Department and Biomedical Engineering Department. Student representatives shared their opinions on learning progress of their class, academic performance, student’s psychological status, internship opportunities and performance, preparation for the graduate school entrance exam and difficulties encountered in the application for the college students’ innovation and entrepreneurship programs and internships. Representatives from the first grade submitted a report covering the above-mentioned issues for they were not able to attend the meeting. Student representatives also presented feedback and suggestions collected from non-attending students.

Professor Guan listened attentively and took careful notes. She answered students’ questions patiently and expressed high appreciation for some representatives’ efforts to find solutions to their classmates’ academic difficulties and set up their target for class management. Professor Guan also promised to address unsolved problems after further investigation and discussion. Finally, she thanked the monitors and commissaries for their contribution to class management and encouraged them to better manage their time and achieve a balance between study and class management so as to lead the School’s academic and extracurricular activities. Representatives were also asked to pay constant attention to the learning and psychological status of their classmates and discuss and make plans to help students with academic difficulties for common progress.
